Heavy Rain Meteor is Expected Tonight

Perse annual meteor showers will be a good show this week in this, until the early morning hours in the morning, and wait patiently for shooting Stars.

In North America, this is the best time to watch from midnight to 5 hours on Wednesday, August 12, but late at night on Tuesday and Wednesday night, may also prove useful, depending on weather conditions.

In Perseidy always reliable and often spectacular. The only thing that shock in August, bad weather or bright moonlight. Unfortunately, this week, as Perseidy reaches its climax on Tuesday and Wednesday night, the moon high in the sky, outshining the weak meteors.

However, Skywatcher worldwide will be able to see the brightest meteors. Some of them have already enjoyed the show.

Already under way
In Perseidy are pieces of debris from comet Swift-Tuttle, multiple streams of debris, each in a different location, throughout the centuries, as the orbit of the Sun. Each year in August, Earth in the landslides that occur over time.

"They tend to be fast, brilliant and sometimes persistent trains," said Joe Rao SPACE.com 'S Skywatching columnist. "And sometimes, a fireball Perse call another bright that it was quite spectacular and more capable of attention, even in bright moonlight."

Small quantities Perseidy, including some bright fireballs were on earth began in late July. Experienced observers counted up to 25 per hour, or about every two minutes.

Most meteors are not more than a pea. Evaporate when entering the Earth's atmosphere, a bright stripe across the sky.

In Perseidy seems to emanate from the constellation Perseus, which rises into the sky at midnight, and it is almost more than in the morning. Like most meteor showers, hours between midnight and dawn are usually the best time to see, because if the parties that the planet rotates in the direction of the Earth by space travel, what meteors "Collection" in the atmosphere at higher prices, such as the windscreen of car life more errors with the rear bumper.

Astronomers expect up to 200 meteors per hour in a short flash up to 15 minutes or less. But many of the weaknesses of meteorites are not available because the full moon, and prices fall even more in urban areas. In contrast, a typical observer, with a dark sky, it can be assumed that the "Meteor" every few minutes, in the case of the burst, and less rest.

Best time to see
The best time to see it between midnight and dawn on Wednesday. Projections suggest that the best way, perhaps, 4 pm to 5 pm ET (1-2 pm PST), after the early morning hours in Europe. Some may Perseidy late at night on Tuesday and Wednesday night to Thursday morning may be helpful, too.

Meteor forecasting is still in its infancy, so the best option for those who truly hunger for the shooting stars as possible for the observation time of about 11 hours on Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning, and if you show that at the same period Wednesday night to Thursday morning.

Meteors should be in the early morning hours, the weather permitted, throughout the northern hemisphere.

Earth through a dense portion of the waste stream at any time on 12 August, "said Bill Cooke, NASA's Office of the Organization of meteoroid environment. "So you can see several dozen meteors per hour."

Viewing Tips
Better situation is very far from the city and suburban lights. Ideally, structure, trees or mountains to block the moon. After studying a lot of sky as possible. In the meteors can be anywhere, heading in any direction. If you go on the way back, they all point to the constellation Perseus.

People in those places where this could happen in any cold to warm clothes, as they deem necessary to ensure the time.

Seasoned Skywatcher consult with a blanket or chair for comfort, so you can relax and search for a long time. Leave at least 15 minutes for the eyes, in order to complete darkness. Then wait for sporadic meteors you can see two lines, or perhaps for several minutes between the shooting stars.

Avid meteor observers attempt horizon in the north-east of 9 hours to 11 hours (local time, wherever you are) to feed the horizon Perseidy.

"Land of Graz meteors approach from the horizon and skim the atmosphere over a stone skipping the surface of the pond," explains Cook. "They have a long, slow and colorful - some of the meteors." Indicates that one time to see the network in May, only a few of them at the most, but you can still see that the whole night worth it.
